# Owner FAQ

## What did I buy?

You bought one Genesis NFT with permanent artwork, token number, Stock DNA, ownership history, and a token-level Vault identity.

## How many Genesis Stockmons exist?

Genesis contains exactly **116 creatures**: 100 Hybrids followed by 16 Pures. Aetheryn descendants belong to a separate collection and never increase the Genesis supply.

## Can my Stock DNA change?

No. Genesis DNA is permanent.

## What does DNA do?

DNA shapes the creature and divides its equal share of each eligible Feed round across its lineages. It is a recipe, not a live token balance.

## What happens every 48 hours?

The Feed closes one launch-anchored round, identifies distributable WETH received by the Vault, assigns 50% to Stock Token purchases, divides that budget equally across living Genesis IDs, and applies each ID’s DNA.

## Where does the other 50% go?

The other 50% is tracked as the project-treasury share. It stays separate from the Genesis Stock Token budget and never becomes part of a creature’s basket.

## Does an unminted Genesis still receive Feed accounting?

Yes. Available-unminted and wallet-owned Genesis IDs both count as living. Permanent burn removes an ID from later Feed snapshots.

## What if one Stock Token route fails?

That lineage’s assigned WETH stays pending for the same Genesis ID. Successful lineages can still settle independently.

## Can I withdraw one stock position while my Genesis is alive?

No. The living basket stays sealed to the token ID.

## What happens if I transfer or sell my Genesis?

The NFT, permanent DNA, Feed history, and sealed living basket move together to the new owner. The seller does not keep a hidden claim on the living basket.

## What is the difference between Markets and Marketplace?

**Markets** reads Vault balances and shows timestamped estimates. **Marketplace** is the noncustodial listing and purchase experience for Genesis NFTs.

## Is the Markets USD value guaranteed?

No. It is a timestamped estimate based on validated prices. It is not a guaranteed floor, redemption quote, brokerage balance, or sale offer.

## What does permanent redemption do?

Redemption burns the NFT, ends future Feed participation, and fixes the burner as beneficiary of matured claims. It cannot be reversed.

## What is MON?

MON is Stockmon’s ecosystem token on Robinhood Chain. Its canonical contract is `0x7c646A41572B441527169C576ef0c0A40c667777`.

## Does MON guarantee profit or a higher NFT price?

No. MON, NFTs, Stock Tokens, WETH, and other assets can rise or fall in value.

## Is Hunt available?

Not yet. Hunt is coming soon. The first Hunt release does not require MON. Awakening, recharge, camp conversion, and bonus XP arrive later.

## How does Breeding work?

When Breeding opens, an eligible parent or compatible pair can seal one transferable Aetheryn Egg. You review the complete DNA catalog and exact probabilities before paying. One accepted payment commits one hidden outcome with zero rerolls. The Egg incubates for 24 hours, then the current Egg owner can Hatch the exact committed child after its artwork is approved.

Breeding is coming soon. There is no Egg payment or hatch today.

## What are “Breeding Strikes”?

The canonical name is **Readiness Marks**. One finalized full 6.5-hour Hunt completed through normal return earns one permanent mark. Exactly seven marks make a Genesis or revealed Aetheryn ready for the Breeding eligibility check.

## Does every Hunt earn a Readiness Mark?

No. Early return, intact rescue, and transfer-triggered close earn zero marks. The Hunt must run the full 6.5 hours, close normally, and finalize successfully.

## Do Readiness Marks reset when I sell or transfer the NFT?

No. Marks follow the NFT for life. A buyer receives the creature with its permanent mark history. A newly hatched Aetheryn starts at zero marks regardless of its parents’ history.

## Are seven marks the only Breeding requirement?

No. Every parent also needs an available fertility use, no active 24-hour cooldown, valid ownership, and a compatible generation and family relationship.

## How many times can my Genesis breed?

Each Genesis has seven lifetime fertility uses. A successful G1 Hatch consumes one reserved use. Transfers do not reset fertility.

## How many times can an Aetheryn breed?

Each revealed Aetheryn has three lifetime fertility uses. It must earn seven of its own Readiness Marks before using them.

## When is a fertility use spent?

One use is reserved at Seal and consumed only at successful Hatch. A failed request before Seal consumes and reserves nothing. A sealed Egg keeps its reservation even if it remains unrevealed. Burning an Egg or child never restores the use.

## Which parents can create G1?

G1 uses exactly one eligible Genesis. Genesis + Genesis, Genesis + Aetheryn, and one-parent Aetheryn Breeding are not supported.

## Which parents can create G2 or later?

G2+ uses exactly two distinct revealed Aetheryn. Both must be owned by the same wallet at Seal, have seven marks and available fertility, be outside cooldown, and pass the kinship check.

## Which family relationships are compatible?

Cousins are compatible. Self-pairs, ancestors with descendants, full siblings, and half siblings are not. Stockmon checks permanent ancestry again at Seal.

## Can two wallets breed their Aetheryn together?

Not in V1. The same wallet must own both participating G2+ parents when the Egg is sealed.

## How long is the Breeding cooldown?

The parent cooldown and Egg incubation are **24 hours**. After the cooldown, a parent can breed again if it still has an unreserved fertility use—even when an older Egg remains unrevealed.

## How soon can a fresh Genesis create and hatch G1?

Seven sequential full Hunts take about 45.5 hours, plus finality. Incubation adds 24 hours. The fastest compliant path is therefore roughly 69.5 hours plus chain finality.

## Can I see the child before I pay?

You see every possible DNA recipe and its exact probability, but not the final child. One hidden outcome is selected and committed once. There is no reroll, redraw, beauty pick, or alternate child.

## Can I transfer an Egg?

Yes. The Egg is a separate transferable NFT. Its current owner controls Hatch and receives the child. Transferring the Egg does not change its parents, outcome, odds, maturity, art recipe, or Birth Vault.

## What happens if artwork is delayed?

The same Egg remains pending and transferable until the committed artwork is approved. Stockmon does not mint an artless child and does not replace the outcome.

## Can I cancel or refund a sealed Egg?

No. Before Seal, a failed request moves no MON and reserves nothing. After a successful Seal, there is no timeout refund, cancellation, or redraw; the same Egg and hidden outcome persist.

## How much MON does Breeding use?

One Seal targets approximately $15 USD-equivalent of MON. The quote lasts five minutes and accepts at most 10% price drift. Of the accepted MON, 87.5% plus any indivisible remainder goes to the Egg Birth Vault and 12.5% rounded down goes to Treasury.

## What does an Aetheryn child start with?

Permanent ancestry and DNA, its own Birth Vault and Hunt basket, zero XP, zero Readiness Marks, and three lifetime fertility uses.

## Does an Aetheryn child inherit my Genesis Vault?

No. A child inherits visual ancestry and DNA, not the parent’s Feed basket, Stock Tokens, pending WETH, claims, Hunt credit, XP, or redemption rights.

## How many Aetheryn can ever exist?

At most 100,000 lifetime successful descendants, separate from the fixed Genesis 116. Burning an Egg or child never reopens capacity.

## What are the 196 Aetheryn lineages?

They are the permanent visual identity ingredients used by Aetheryn DNA. All 196 can shape creature anatomy, silhouette, materials, color, eyes, energy, and personality. The registry contains 194 preserved market lineages followed by ETH and CASHCAT at indices 194 and 195. ETH and CASHCAT are the final additions, not the only image lineages. The registry is not a set of 196 Genesis NFTs.

## Is PVP available?

Not yet. PVP is coming soon, and it never debits a Genesis Feed basket.

## Can an AI agent pay Stockmon?

Not yet. Agent payments are coming soon. When they launch, every payment stays inside an owner-set budget and returns a receipt.

## What should I do if my wallet shows different details?

Cancel. Never approve a different account, chain, contract, token ID, recipient, amount, or fee than the Stockmon app showed.

## Where should I start?

Read Your first 10 minutes with Genesis, then follow one complete Feed example.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://raretyperesearch.gitbook.io/stockmon/start-here/owner-faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
